Luke hails from the sunny northern beaches in Sydney. A childhood diet of Saturday morning cartons, picture books and comics influenced the images he loves creating now. Luke is happiest when creating visual stories that kids can get lost in. 

What do you love about graphic novels, Luke? 

My brother in law introduced me to graphic novels when I was seven, and I pored over artworks by Jack Kirby and Neal Adams. The love affair never died and these days I’m a fully grown comic nerd. The artwork in graphic novels adds a layer that elevates a story. The panels provide a pace to the narrative and allow the artist to create small stories within the story for the reader to discover.
